VoCA September 27, 2006

Don’t get all stressed out about what to do for this Saturday’s Nuit Blanche Toronto. At VoCA, our aim is to put you at ease. We’ll sift through and recommend what we think are the most worthwhile events. Every day this week we will profile a new event:

(And don’t forget to look back at our Sept 8th entry for our top fifteen Nuit Blanche Toronto picks.)

I know, I know. You’re not about to interrupt your night of art-y events to sit in a pool with a bunch of (possibly drunk) strangers…

But this is no mere pool, people. This is sure to be an experience. For anyone with a sense of adventure and no concrete plans for Nuit Blanche Toronto, this is the event for you.

At the Trinity Community Recreation Centre in Trinity Bellwoods Park (at Queen West near Shaw), the sparkly mosaic by the swimming pool will be artfully lit and the environment infused with a specially designed program of dj sounds from around the world. It’s free, it goes all night and it will be a rare occasion to lie back, half-close your eyes and pretend you’re Ursula Andress in the Gellert Baths in Matthew Barney‘s Cremaster 5.
