TAAFI preview

What’s worth seeing? TAAFI, as it’s called, takes place at the Drake and Gladstone Hotels. Despite having been in the past a somewhat ad hoc affair, this is where you’ll find young, gritty art.

We recommend:

TONIGHT FRIDAY NOVEMBER 10: The Drake Hotel Gala Reception and Performances, from 10 pm – 2 am.

Look for The Pillow Fight League at the Drake’s entrance at 10:30 pm, as well as performances by Johanna Householder, Day Milman and the always entertaining Ulyssses Castellanos. His Paul McCarthy-inspired performance at MoCCA last week was nonetheless very entertaining:

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 11:
12 – 8 pm: Inside/Out Lesbian and Gay Film and video screening in the Drake’s Yoga Den

2 pm: Urban perspectives – Artist Eric Glavin and U of T prof Andy Payne with a screening by Andreas Koch

6 pm: A Funeral for a Building at the corner of Queen and Abell Streets. A performance by Jessica Rose

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 12:
12 – 8 pm: Vtape all day screening in the Drake’s Yoga Den

1 pm: In the Drake Underground, a lecture and book launch by the artist Gary Neill Kennedy. “Superstar Shadow 1984 – 2005”

What about the galleries?
