Since this post deals with art collecting I thought I would take the opportunity to suggest VOCA do a piece on Droit du Suite and Droit Moral. Perhaps VOCA could interview artists or collectors or gallery owners to get both sides of the issue. Should these rights be applied in Canadian law, etc.

That is a great idea. I will look into it and get back to you. For those who don’t know, Droit de Suite basically ensures that artists continue to get a percentage each time their work sells, after the initial sale. So for instance at auction…Stay tuned for more on this.
