2. WHAT WE BRING TO THE TABLE AT OAKVILLE GALLERIES

9 February – 6 June 2008

Patrick Faigenbaum, Ellen Erwes, Bremen 1997. Image: artseensoho.com

Yep, it’s an exhibition about food - or more precisely the dining table - and knowing curator Marnie Fleming, it will be a visual feast not to be missed.

what we bring to the table attests to the cultural importance and metaphorical nature of the table as a place where complex social dynamics are discussed; family, religion, gender, class and group identity.
