- Photographer Ed Burtynsky is planning a new traveling exhibition on the theme of Oil that will be on at the soon-to-be opened Art Gallery of Alberta in 2010
- VoCA favorite, curator extraordinaire Ydessa Hendeles has accepted a position at the University of Toronto this fall, we hear
- Artists Daniel Borins and Jennifer Marman will install their new show Massive Sale: YYZ Mall, an actual shopping mall inside YYZ Artist-run Centre in Toronto in September, complete with shopkeepers and products for sale.
- Alexander Calder: The Paris Years will come to the Art Gallery of Ontario on October 3. We saw it in New York at the Whitney last year, and can attest that it’s a great show.

I saw the Alexander Calder show in Paris last spring. You are right – it is a great show.
And thanks for the last post about Robert Murray’s sculpture, I sent the link to members of my family. We had wondered about that object for years.
